Evaluation of an Assertiveness Training Based on the Social Learning Theory for Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Practitioners

Assertiveness is a fundamental type of behavior for the creation and maintenance positive relationships at work facilitation team functioning. Therefore, promotion assertiveness contributes to improving performance, preventing harassment work, facilitating adoption safe behaviors making critical decisions in terms occupational health safety. However, few studies have evaluated effectiveness assertive training train health, safety environment (OHSE) technicians facilitate their as agents change attitudes other workers. an was carried out increase decrease social anxiety this professional. The following pretest–posttest group design. results from both pilot study sample 328 undergraduate students 155 OHSE indicated that effective achieving objectives. Moreover, Cohen’s d statistics suggest effect size intermediate. These are discussed with respect role contributing practices well organizations’ sustainability.
